WABENO – Auditions for the Wabeno Area Players’ upcoming production of “Nana’s Naughty Knickers” were an outstanding success, and rehearsals are now in full swing. Construction of the set is scheduled to begin Friday, August 28.

The hilarious comedy will take the stage October 2, 3 and 4, 2026, in the Nancy Volk Auditorium, 4325 North Branch St., Wabeno.

Veteran actress Linda Harter, known for her impeccable comic timing, will portray Nana. Sue Ferguson will play her partner in crime, Vera, the neighborhood curmudgeon.

Maline Enders earned the role of Nana’s granddaughter, Bridget, who innocently becomes caught up in the action. Josh Jameson will portray Officer Tom, the neighborhood police officer known for his eagle eyes.

Margi Diny will play Heather Van Pree, a woman with a shady reputation who arrives to set some wrongs right. Dennis Diny will portray Gil Schmidt, the villainous landlord who is a constant thorn in Nana’s side. Lori Mattern will play Gil’s wife, Clair, who clearly holds the upper hand in their marriage.

Rounding out the cast are Linda Boatright as the irritating intercom voice and Boyd Monte as the muscular, brown-uniformed UPS deliveryman.
