EAU CLAIRE – Menards customers expecting a rebate in the mail may want to take a closer look before tossing an unfamiliar piece of mail.
Menards says rebate credit checks began arriving in a new 6-by-9-inch mailer in August. The larger, more colorful format has surprised some customers, who say they nearly threw it away after mistaking it for advertising or junk mail. The rebate credit check is still inside, and customers redeem it the same way as before.

Anyone waiting for a rebate should check their mail carefully, especially if they have already submitted a rebate form. Menards says processing generally takes six to eight weeks, and customers can check a submission’s status through its Rebate Center.
Customers who believe they discarded a rebate check can contact Rebates International through the Rebate Center. Menards says requests for lost checks are reviewed and, if a replacement is approved, a $6 reissue fee applies. Rebate credit checks can be used for future purchases in Menards stores, but they cannot be used for purchases on Menards.com.
