SURING – Members of the Crooked Lake/Mountain Lions Club turned their September meeting into an opportunity to support local classrooms. Each member was asked to bring school supplies for the club to donate.

The collection went beyond items students use every day. Members also brought materials for teachers, who often spend their own money to stock their classrooms. Along with the supplies, the club contributed a $300 check to help meet teachers’ needs.

Lion Susie Zeyen, pictured at right, presented the donations to Suring School Counselor Megan Keplinger. The supplies and check reflect the club’s appreciation for the work teachers do and its commitment to helping students have what they need at school.
