Mountain Historical Society raises money for Green Lake Park Pavilion restoration work

green lake pavilion 850x444

The Mountain Historical Society has a goal of $9,500 in their “Provide a Finish” campaign. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help them to “Provide a Finish” to preserve a living piece of our community. The Green Lake Park Pavilion has served families for nearly a century and needs our care to continue its legacy.

The Green Lake Pavilion was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1937. It was one of the earliest recreational structures within the Chequamegon–Nicolet National Forest. It was constructed using local materials including cedar and pine.

Your donation directly supports essential restoration work: cleaning and staining to provide a protective finish for the building, repairing the wood siding, restoring the stone chimney, and installing clear signage so visitors can easily find this historic gem. Follow this link to make a donation. You’ll receive a tax receipt for making a donation.

Together, we can ensure this historic gathering place continues sheltering celebrations and quiet moments by the lake for another 90 years. The Green Lake Park Pavilion is located at 13322 State Hwy 32/64 in Mountain. The Mountain Historical Society is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization.
