TOWNSEND – The Olive Pit Bar & Grill and Marvin’s Gardens are inviting the community to enjoy an afternoon of food, music and fundraising during a Free Corn Roast on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm at The Olive Pit, 18904 State Hwy. 32, Townsend.
Guests can enjoy freshly roasted sweet corn at no charge while taking part in 50/50 raffles and bucket raffles throughout the day. Live entertainment will be provided by JT Crocker, who will perform from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm.
The event is more than just a community gathering—it is also a fundraiser for a local cause. All donations collected during the event will benefit Friends of Townsend Fire, helping support the Townsend Volunteer Fire Department and its ongoing mission to serve the community.
Organizers encourage residents and visitors alike to stop by, enjoy free corn, listen to live music, participate in the raffles, and help support the volunteers who protect the Townsend area.
