TOWNSEND – A community brat fry held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Mike’s Supermarket in Townsend drew strong local support for the development of new pickleball courts. Organizers thanked the volunteers, bakers, and community members who attended the event and helped make the fundraiser a success.

Held on a beautiful spring day, the event attracted a great turnout and raised money that will go toward the Town of Townsend initiative to build pickleball courts for the community. Supporters say the project will create new recreational opportunities and provide a welcoming space for residents and visitors to gather and stay active.

Community members and local businesses who would still like to support the development of the new pickleball court fundraising effort can make a donation through the Town of Townsend.
Donors also have the opportunity to have their name or business name added to a donation plaque that will be prominently displayed at the pickleball courts.
