Legion Post #44 Wabeno has announced its plans for their annual Memorial Day Ceremony. Always a moving and memorable experience, it will take place on Monday, May 25 at Veterans Park in Wabeno. Located off Highway 32, the site is a peaceful and pastoral setting appropriate for the solemn occasion.

The commemoration begins at 10:00 a.m. with a welcome by Legion Commander George Richardson. It includes the traditional MIA ceremony to honor those who went to war and did not return. Keynote address speaker is Mike Schilz; the Wabeno High School Choir will provide patriotic music.

Attendees are invited to a social and light luncheon at the Legion Post following the event.
