TOWNSEND – A day of friendly competition will help support the Christian Food Pantry when Wendt’s Sandbar Resort hosts its annual Scavenger Hunt and Food Drive on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

The event will take place at the resort, 16688 Nicolet Road in Townsend. Registration begins at 11:00 am, and the scavenger hunt starts at noon.

Teams will compete for a share of a 100% payout awarded to the top three finishers. Food donations will also play a role in the competition, with teams earning additional points based on the food they contribute. The more food a team brings, the more points it earns while helping stock the pantry.

Participants are encouraged to dress up for a costume contest at the conclusion of the hunt. Anyone wishing to enter the costume contest must either participate in the scavenger hunt or bring a food donation.

All food collected will go to the Christian Food Pantry. Community members who are not taking part in the activities are also welcome to contribute food and support the drive.
