WABENO – Junior high and high school choir students from Wabeno took part in the community’s Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Veterans Park, lending their voices to an event dedicated to honoring the men and women who served and sacrificed for the country.
Under the direction of Mrs. Statezny, the students participated in the annual observance as community members gathered to remember fallen service members and reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day. Their involvement added a meaningful student presence to the ceremony and helped underscore the importance of passing on traditions of remembrance to younger generations.
The Memorial Day program offered local residents an opportunity to come together in tribute, recognizing those who gave their lives in military service. For the students, the event was both a performance and a moment of reflection as they joined others in paying respect to veterans and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Participants were thankful to be part of the day’s observance, which served as a reminder that while many have served, some gave everything. Their participation highlighted both community pride and appreciation for the significance of the ceremony held each year in Wabeno.
