Townsend to Celebrate Independence Day with Parade, Music and Fireworks and More

TOWNSEND – Residents and visitors will have a full slate of Independence Day activities to enjoy in Townsend on July 4, 2026, with events planned at the Townsend Town Hall, Fire Department on Highway 32 and Veterans Memorial Park. The day’s schedule includes a craft fair, food and drinks, live music, a parade, evening concessions and a fireworks finale.

The celebration begins with a craft fair from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, where attendees can browse handmade items from local artisans. At the Fire Department, food and drinks will be available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, along with meat raffles throughout the day and a prize drawing scheduled for 5:00 pm. Live entertainment will also be part of the festivities, with Lovin’ Country performing from 11:00 am. to 5:00 pm.

One of the day’s featured events, the annual Fourth of July Parade, is set to begin at noon. Organizers are encouraging spectators to line the streets and support local organizations taking part in the parade. The festivities will continue into the evening at Veterans Memorial Park, where concessions will be sold from 7:00 pm until dusk. Attendees can purchase snacks and drinks on site, though carry-ins will not be allowed. The day will conclude at dusk with a fireworks display, providing a celebratory finish to Townsend’s 2026 Independence Day events.

All banners will remail up all summer on the town park fences. All categories will receive social media recognition.
