TOWNSEND – Local author and business owner Phil Adamczyk is bringing readers into worlds of mystery, magic and conflict through his fiction, including the 2026 novel “The Haunting of Rosewynde.” Adamczyk, who owns Amoterra wellness center in Townsend, also authors the ongoing fantasy series “The Chronicles of Terra.”
Adamczyk’s “The Haunting of Rosewynde” follows entrepreneur Amanda Esselthorpe and her historian husband, David, as they pursue an opportunity at a secluded estate surrounded by wooded hills. What appears to offer a fresh start carries a troubling past, with tales of tragedy and a possible curse. Their arrival sets the stage for a story in which their hopes collide with the estate’s darker history.
His “Chronicles of Terra” series currently includes “The Adversaries,” “Seeds of Chaos” and “Traces of Darkness.” In “The Adversaries,” an eclipse disrupts a thousand years of peace on Terra-Quenlist and brings a threat from the world of Chaos. Emperor Gavin Moonstone and his allies must confront Helius Rue, whose pursuit of power threatens their world.
“Seeds of Chaos” continues the saga with Queen Ginger Molloy struggling to establish lasting peace while forces loyal to Helius resist her rule. “Traces of Darkness,” listed in a 2024 edition, returns to Terra-Quenlist as a death unsettles the planet and a renewed threat emerges. The story also explores the origins of the Moonstone family.
Artist Sheri Jo Posselt is credited as illustrator for “The Haunting of Rosewynde,” the 2025 novel “Breathe With Me, Grief,” and all recent editions of the “Chronicles of Terra” books, adding an artistic collaboration to Adamczyk’s storytelling. They also co-created the 2021 oracle card deck and guidebook “The Oracle of Ascendance,” published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.
Beyond his writing, Adamczyk owns Amoterra, located at 17250 Brookside Court in Townsend. The wellness center offers a variety of integrative holistic approaches focused on mind, body and spirit. Its mission is to teach, guide and support individuals as they work toward personal empowerment and healing.
