The Oconto County UW Extension Lifespan Educator, Katie Daul, is collaborating with the Marinette County Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) to offer “Powerful Tools for Caregivers,” a supportive and skill-building class series designed specifically for caregivers.
“Powerful Tools for Caregivers” is a six-week, evidence-based educational program. It is designed to help family members and friends who are caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for others. Throughout the course, participants will build confidence, reduce stress, improve communication, learn effective problem-solving skills, and discover local community resources. The program also provides an opportunity to connect with others who truly understand the challenges of caregiving.
This class is ideal for caregivers of adults living with chronic conditions as well as those caring for children with special health or behavioral needs.
Sessions are scheduled weekly on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:30 pm virtually via Zoom for six weeks, spanning April 15 through May 27, 2026 (excluding May 13). These sessions are facilitated by experienced leaders. Additionally, each participant will receive a “Powerful Tools for Caregivers” workbook, which contains valuable information and resources designed to support caregivers throughout their journey.
