Finding the perfect name for a new baby is on every expecting parent’s to-do list. For those in need of some inspiration, Emplify Health has compiled its top baby names from 2025.
“The maternity department is your go-to spot to find modern, traditional and unique names,” says Janet Letter, Emplify Health by Bellin Maternity Team Leader. “We’re always excited to meet the new baby, and also to hear the name their parents have picked.”
In 2025, Emplify Health’s list includes over 1,700 names.
Emplify Health’s top five baby girl names for 2025:
- Lainey, Nora, Evelyn (and spelling variants*) – tied for first
- Harper
- Emma
- Willow
- Layla
*Variants include Laynie, Layne, Nora, Norah, Evalynn and Evelynn
Emplify Health’s top five baby boy names for 2025:
- Hudson
- Henry
- Cooper
- Brooks
- Owen
In 2025, Emplify Health welcomed 3,627 babies; 1,763 were girls and 1,864 were boys.

Emplify Health by Gundersen welcomed a total of 1,929 babies — a new annual record —
while Emplify Health by Bellin welcomed 1,698 babies.
