OCONTO COUNTY – Oconto County Emergency Management has transitioned its emergency notification system to RAVE Alert (Smart 911). This upgrade is part of a statewide initiative to provide faster, more reliable real-time communications for public safety and severe weather emergencies.

To receive life-saving alerts, all residents, business owners, and visitors should register with the new RAVE Alert system. Enrollment is free, though standard text messaging rates from your mobile provider may apply.

The RAVE Alert system offers enhanced features, including:

Statewide Integration: Used by 911 centers across Wisconsin for seamless coordination during major disasters.
Precise Targeting: Notifications are sent based on your specific location, ensuring you only receive alerts relevant to your immediate area.
