TOWNSEND – The community is organizing a special event in observance of the National Day of Prayer. The gathering will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from noon to 1 pm. The event will be held indoors at the Townsend Town Hall, located at 16564 Elm Street.

Program Details

The program will feature several notable participants and activities, including:

The Color Guard from Wabeno Post 44 of the American Legion
The Forest Larger Parish Presbyterian Church Praise Band
Local leaders from communities throughout the Northwoods area who will offer praise to God and prayers for the healing of our country and communities

Purpose of the Event

This event is not affiliated with any particular church or political group. It is a community-driven effort dedicated to petitioning God for healing in our land. Everyone is welcome, regardless of church affiliation or attendance. The focus is on unity and collective prayer for the well-being of our nation and communities.

Invitation and Contact Information
