LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Fire Department extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who helped make its annual Corn Roast a success.

Whether you enjoyed the food and music, purchased raffle tickets, made a donation, volunteered or simply stopped by, your support helped make the event possible. Your continued generosity means more to the department than words can express.

A special thank-you goes to Mares Farm for generously donating the corn served during the event. The department also gives a huge shoutout to the Townsend Fire Department for sending volunteers to lend a hand. Their assistance demonstrated how members of the fire service family always come together when needed.

DJ Express kept the celebration lively with music throughout the event, while volunteers gave up their Sunday to cook and serve food, sell raffle tickets, set up, clean up, haul supplies and complete countless other tasks.

If you donated, sponsored the event, purchased raffle tickets or contributed to the donation boots, your generosity directly helps the Lakewood Fire Department continue serving and protecting the community.

Although an unfortunate incident resulted in the loss of some money during the event, your response became an inspiring reminder of the kindness found throughout the area. Those of you who witnessed and reported what happened—and especially those who offered additional donations afterward—showed why this community is so special. Your generosity far outweighed the actions of one individual.

Thank you, Lakewood and the surrounding communities, for making another Corn Roast a memorable success. The Lakewood Fire Department appreciates every one of you more than you know.
