WABENO – The Christian Thrift Store, located at 4541 N Branch St in Wabeno, is pleased to announce the establishment of a scholarship program for Wabeno and Laona graduating seniors. A $1,000 scholarship to a student attending a four-year accredited Wisconsin college and a $1,000 scholarship to a student attending a two-year accredited Wisconsin technical college is to be awarded. Provided that eligibility requirements are met, these students will continue to receive $1,000 each year, up to four or two years, at the respective colleges.

In May, scholarships were awarded to Wabeno seniors Summer Moravec, who will be attending UW-Madison and Destiny Dudek, who will be attending Nicolet College. Ike Johnson, who will be attending UW-Stout, and Nathan Mihalko, who will be attending Northwest Technical College were recipients from Laona High School.

Congratulations to these four recipients. The Christian Thrift Store is proud to provide financial assistance to our local students.
