Wabeno American Legion to Hold Gunless Poultry Shoot

WABENO – Wabeno American Legion Sylvan Post 44 will hold a Gunless Poultry Shoot on Saturday, September 19, at Long Branch Saloon, 17901 State Highway 32, Townsend.

The event will begin at 1:00 pm and give participants opportunities to win steaks, pork chops, turkeys, hams, chicken and other prizes. Proceeds will support local veterans and the programs of Wabeno American Legion Sylvan Post 44.

Despite its name, no firearms are used during a gunless poultry shoot. Participants play games of chance for an opportunity to win meat and other prizes.
