Townsend Chili Cook-Off to Benefit Lakewood Townsend Ambulance

TOWNSEND – Northwoods chili cooks will have an opportunity to put their favorite recipes to the test during a Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Townsend Town Hall, 16564 Elm St.

Chili tasting will take place from noon to 2:00 pm. The cost is $5 per person, which allows attendees to sample the entries and vote for their favorites. Prizes will be awarded to the top three chilis at 2:15 pm.

Contestants should deliver their entries between 11:00 and 11:30 am, when each cook will receive an assigned ballot number. Chili must be brought hot and ready to serve in a prewarmed six-quart slow cooker.

Community members are encouraged to bring their appetites, families and friends for an afternoon of friendly competition and flavorful fun. All proceeds will benefit the Lakewood Townsend Ambulance.
