If you are caring for a friend or family member who has dementia or memory concerns, the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of the Wolf River Region offers valuable support. The ADRC has established a support group specifically designed for caregivers. This group provides a welcoming environment where participants can share their experiences, learn helpful tips, and interact with others who are facing similar challenges.
The support group meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. These meetings are held at the Lakes Country Public Library, located at 15235 State Hwy 32, Lakewood. The group encourages caregivers to attend, offering resources and guidance tailored to their needs.
For additional details about the support group in Lakewood, you can email Mary at maryb@adrcwolfriver.org or call 855-492-2372.
The ADRC also hosts a virtual meeting on the fourth Monday of each month from 3:00 to 4:00 pm via Microsoft Teams. To register for the virtual meeting, please call 715-526-4712.
