WABENO – The Wabeno Lions Club recently donated $1,000 to the Wabeno Soup Kitchen, supporting a local program that welcomes seniors for meals and social activities at the Wabeno Town Hall.
Wabeno Lion Lee Lamers presented the check to Linda McEwen on behalf of the club. The contribution helps support the program’s work to provide a welcoming gathering place where seniors can share a meal and spend time with others.
The Soup Kitchen is open Mondays and Tuesdays, with bingo beginning at 11:45 am and dinner served at noon. All seniors are welcome to attend.
Along with a meal, the program offers an opportunity for seniors to connect with friends, meet other community members and enjoy conversation around the table.
Donations are accepted but are not required. No one will be turned away because they are unable to contribute.
Seniors interested in attending, or anyone with questions about the program, may contact Linda at (715) 889-0123.
