LAKEWOOD – The Northwoods Community Assistance Coalition (NCAC), located at 15351 State Hwy. 32 in Lakewood, recently completed another accessibility ramp for an area resident, continuing its efforts to help meet community needs.

Accessibility ramps can make a meaningful difference for people who have difficulty navigating steps, providing easier access to their homes and supporting greater independence in daily life. The latest project reflects the value of bringing together funding and local volunteer efforts to help residents.
Funding for the ramp was provided by Options for Independent Living and NCAC, with the coalition’s contribution supported by grant funding from the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation.

NCAC extended special thanks to lead builder Tom Davies and Bob Statsney for their work on the project. Their contributions helped turn the available funding into a completed ramp that will serve the resident.

Through projects such as this, the coalition continues connecting resources and people to provide practical assistance throughout the Northwoods.
