TOWNSEND – The Northern Lakes Archers are raising funds for a new pavilion and an expanded practice range designed to accommodate a growing number of crossbow users, including people who can no longer shoot conventional bows because of age or physical disabilities.
The planned practice range will allow crossbow shooters to sight in their equipment from a shooting bench at distances of up to 50 yards. It will be open to the public without requiring a club membership. The pavilion will provide shelter from the weather during the club’s shoots.
To help fund the improvements, the club is holding a gun raffle, with the drawing scheduled for 6:00 pm, Saturday, December 5, 2026, during its Game Feed at The Olive Pit Bar & Grill, 18904 WI-32 in Townsend.
Tickets are $20 each, and only 500 will be sold. They are available at Pintsch’s Hardware, The Olive Pit Bar & Grill, The Green Banana and Meatski’s.
Firearm prizes include a Tristar Cobra II 20-gauge shotgun, a Ruger American .30-06 400B, a Remington 783 .270 bolt-action rifle, a Christensen Arms Evoke 7mm and a Savage bolt-action .223 with scope. A Centerpoint AT 400 crossbow is also among the prizes.
Additional prizes include $350 and $250 cash awards, a two-pack of Reveal Tactacam X Gen 3.0 cameras and a $100 Pintsch’s gift card.
Proceeds will help the Northern Lakes Archers improve the range’s facilities and expand practice opportunities for area shooters.
