McCaslin Lions Screen More Than 250 Children for Vision Problems

WABENO/LAONA – The McCaslin Lions Club screened more than 250 children over the past two weeks, helping families identify potential vision concerns early.

Using a Spot Vision Screening Camera, club members screened children from pre-K through fifth grade at Head Start, Wabeno Elementary and Laona Elementary. The camera can detect six types of vision problems and generates a summary report that parents can review with their eye care professional.

With help from the Wabeno Lions Club, McCaslin members also conducted hearing screenings at Wabeno Elementary.
