TOWNSEND – The Friends of Townsend Fire are expressing their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who helped make the organization’s Corn Roast a success Saturday, August 29, 2026 at The Olive Pit in Townsend.
The group extended special thanks to Marvin’s Gardens and The Olive Pit for their generosity and hard work. Marvin’s Gardens supplied the delicious sweet corn, while Katie and Herbie Pintsch graciously hosted the event at The Olive Pit.
Organizers also thanked everyone who donated baskets for the raffle and the Friends of Townsend Fire volunteers who worked tirelessly to set up and take down the tents, tables and chairs.
Despite the rainy weather, community members turned out to enjoy the event and support the organization’s mission.
“Your wonderful support and generosity made the event a huge success,” organizers said. “We couldn’t have done it without you.”
