LAONA - Laona/Wabeno student-athletes and their parents are required to attend an all-sports, all-seasons meeting at 5:15 pm Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Laona High School.
The meeting is intended for Laona/Wabeno families participating in any sport during the school year. Parents and students will receive schedules, participation forms, handbooks and other important information needed before the start of the season.

School officials said attendance is required so paperwork can be completed and turned in before practices begin. Families with a scheduling conflict should contact their coach in advance. Winter and spring coaches will schedule separate parent-athlete meetings before their seasons begin.
A link to the Code of Conduct and required forms will be posted on the Laona and Wabeno school Facebook pages. Families are asked to review the information and submit paperwork online.
Attendees will first gather in the big gym for a general meeting before breaking into individual sport meetings.

Sport Meeting Locations

Following the opening session, sport-specific meetings will be held in the following locations:
• Volleyball 9-12 will meet in the cafeteria—MSVB grades 7-8 meet in the small gym
• Cross Country grades 6-12 will meet in the Library.
• Football grades 6-12 will meet in the big gym.

Practice Start Dates

• Football practice and equipment handout for all levels will be held August 4.
• Cross country practices for grades 6-12 will begin August 17.
• Volleyball practices for grades 9-12 will begin in Laona on August 17, while middle school volleyball will begin in Wabeno on August 17.
