CROOKED LAKE – The annual Crooked Lake Volunteer Fire Department parade will return on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with organizers planning a special celebration tied to the nation’s 250th birthday. The parade is scheduled to begin at 10:30 am, bringing local participants and spectators together for a family-friendly Independence Day tradition.
Participants who have joined the parade in previous years are asked to report to R&D’s Retreat, 15345 Cty Hwy W, between 9:30 and 10:15 am, where they will be directed into position. New participants or anyone with questions can contact Steve at 920-619-6259 and leave a message.
Because County W can only be closed for a limited time, organizers ask that no walking entries be included in order to keep the parade moving efficiently. They also reminded participants to keep displays family friendly and to avoid political signs or offensive material. The fire department thanked R&D’s Retreat for the use of its parking lot and encouraged attendees to support the Crooked Lake Sportsman’s Club after the parade.
