Wabeno to Celebrate Service and Community at Let’s Honor Parade

2025 09 01 wabeno parade 1 850x445

WABENO – The community of Wabeno will come together Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the Let’s Honor Parade, a daylong celebration recognizing military service members, veterans, first responders, and local community groups in downtown Wabeno.

The parade will spotlight participants from the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Legion Riders, along with first responders including firefighters and law enforcement personnel.

Organizers say the event will also honor active-duty service members, honorably discharged military personnel, and retired veterans, bringing together multiple generations of service in one community tribute.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in downtown Wabeno.

Participants will march with their branch of service or community service group, and organizers noted that rides will be available for those unable to walk. Uniforms are optional.

Entertainment will include an appearance by the Wabeno High School Band, adding music and hometown spirit to the celebration.

Following the parade, the American Legion Post 44 will host an open house beginning at 11:00 am.

The open house will feature the Vietnam Wall Presentation and Search Library, offering visitors an opportunity to reflect and learn more about those who served.

Visitors can also take part in tours of the American Legion Post Memorial Park, with rides in military vehicles available from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The annual Rib-Fest Challenge Competition and Festival will run from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, featuring food, beverages, music, and raffles as part of the day’s festivities.

With a mix of patriotic tribute, live entertainment, family activities, and community celebration, organizers say the event promises to be a memorable day for all ages.
