WABENO – Wabeno Elementary staff and students were honored to have a motivational speaker come visit on April 21, 2026. Mr. Mike McGowan performs at schools all around Wisconsin. Mr. McGowan spoke to Wabeno students in grades 3-5 about friendship and standing up for themselves. His well-known message centers around four little words when you are in a conflict: “I’m sorry, my fault”. He taught Wabeno Elementary students how to stand up for themselves by giving the look, being cool about it, using their words to talk it over, and then finding an adult to help out if it is not resolved. Staff and students enjoyed the message behind Mr. McGowan’s stories. A special appreciation goes to Mr. Mike McGowan for his awe-inspiring performance!
