Overall Trail Condition
To help preserve the existing trail base, all Oconto County Snowmobile trails will close temporarily at 6:00 pm today, Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Please check back here for future updates.

Bagley & Brazeau Joyriders – Klondike 1/7/2026 – Due to current weather conditions, Northern Oconto County snowmobile trails will be closing at 6:00 PM on January 7, 2026. We are hopeful this closure will be temporary, but we need colder temperatures and additional snowfall before reopening to protect the trail base and our landowner properties. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We’ll share updates as conditions improve.

Chase Sno Chasers – Chase 1/13/2026 – The Chase trails remain closed at this time. More snow is needed. Will be grooming as conditions allow.

Chute Pond – Mountain 1/12/2026 – Chute Pond Snowmobile Club trails remain closed. With the warm temps & rain the past week we are awaiting snow which is to happen this weekend. We are also monitoring the wet areas & icy corners for safety issues.

Gillet Sno Riders – Gillett 1/14/2026 – The Gillett Sno & ATV Riders trails remain closed. The rain and warmer weather has taken its toll on our system and will need plenty of fresh snow to be able to reopen. Hopefully we will see some significant snowfall in the near future. Please respect the trails being closed to protect what is left of the base, as well as the landowners properties.

Iron Snow Shoe – Silver Cliff 1/7/2026 – To preserve the trail base, all Iron Show Shoe trails will temporarily close at 6:00pm today, Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Lena Snow Drifters – Lena 1/12/2026 -Lena Snowdrifters trails remain closed. We need everything to freeze up and then a major snow event to open our trails.

Oconto Falls Sno Jokers – Oconto Falls 1/13/2026 – Sno Jokers trail system remains CLOSED. At this point, we need cold weather to freeze up the standing water and then a significant snowfall.

Paul Bunyan Riders – Lakewood 1/11/2026 – Paul Bunyan trails remain closed. The trails have a pretty good base, but wet areas need time to freeze solid, and we still need more snow. Conditions are currently very icy, creating safety concerns. Thank you for your patience — we’ll continue to monitor conditions and share updates as they improve.

Red Arrow – Townsend 1/7/2026 – Due to current weather conditions, Northern Oconto County snowmobile trails will be closing at 6:00 PM on January 7, 2026. This includes the Paul Bunyan, Red Arrow, and Chute Pond trails. We are hopeful this closure will be temporary, but we need colder temperatures and additional snowfall before reopening to protect the trail base we do have. We’ll share updates as conditions improve. Snow is in the forecast after this brief warm up! Keep the snow dances going!!

Ranger City Riders suggest and respectfully request that you refrain from riding until weather conditions improve. All the clubs in Marinette County are monitoring their trail systems daily. Warm, above average temps have setback grooming operations somewhat, but more snow is forecasted and that will help greatly!
