Partial opening of Oconto County Snowmobile trails 8:00 am Friday, Jan 2, 2026.
The Nicolet State Trail in Gillett open. Gillett side trails will remain closed at this time.
Chute Pond Snowmobile Club, Paul Bunyan Riders in Lakewood, and Red Arrow trails in Townsend open. In addition, the Iron Snow Show trails in Oconto County open.
Bagley & Brazeau Joyriders – Klondike 1/5/2026 – Trails opening 8am January 6th. Trails are groomed and in early season condition.
Chase Sno Chasers – Chase 12/30/2025 – Trails remain closed at this time. We received around 4″ of snow but more is needed. Will be grooming as condition allow.
Chute Pond – Mountain 12/31/2025 – Opening Friday 1/2/26 at 8am. The rain turned to ice & will be slippery under the ruff we are getting. Trees have been cleared from the wind. It will be early season conditions.
Gillet Sno Riders – Gillett 12/31/2025 – Gillett Sno & ATV Riders NST Grade will open 8am Friday, 1/2/26. Everything has been groomed, the grade is in early season conditions however all other trails within the Gillett system will remain closed until we get more snow to protect the fields. Please stay off of the closed trails until they officially open. Use caution in the City of Gillett as there is heavy water and sewer construction in progress.
Iron Snow Shoe – Silver Cliff 12/29/2025 – Closed. Panned, and ready to open 1/2/26 at 8am.
Lena Snow Drifters – Lena 12/31/2025 – Lena Snowdrifters will stay closed. More snow needed and starting over from the thaw. 1 corn field standing.
Oconto Falls Sno Jokers – Oconto Falls 12/30/2025 – Sno Jokers trails remain closed. The warm up and rain over Christmas melted what we were hoping would be a good base, and the “storm” 12/28 left us with a couple inches that pretty much blew off any open fields. Keep the snow dance going, but for now, we will remain closed.
Paul Bunyan Riders – Lakewood 1/5/2026 – All trails are groomed and in fair condition still lite on snow in areas. Watch for icing with the warmer temperatures and possibility of freezing rain in forecast. Red Arrow – Townsend 12/31/2025 – Red Arrow trails are in good early season condition. We groomed Monday and trails will open Friday 8am. Ride Safe.

Marinette County – Central
The snowstorm on Sunday night into Monday morning left us with a welcome 7 to 10″ of snow, it also brought very strong winds leaving us with much trail clean up! After the trail clearing clubs will pan the trails with groomers and open trails as soon as possible one trail section at a time.
All the clubs in Marinette County are working daily to brush and clear deadfalls from the trails. Please be patient, our club volunteers are working feverously to get as many trail sections open as possible!

Langlade County – Zone A

Trail Description
Zone A of the Langlade County Snowmobile Trail System covers the northern and eastern wooded parts of Langlade County. Snowmobilers can expect to see snow-covered forests, frozen lakes, rivers, and perhaps even some local wildlife. The extensive trail system allows easy access to many communities, such as Elcho, Pickerel/Pearson, and White Lake. They offer rest stops, gas stations, and places to stay that allow you to rest and recharge before hitting the trails again. With these conveniences, you can stay “On the go in the County of Trails!”
Overall Trail Condition
Zone A (North Forest Zone) of the Langlade County Snowmobile Trail System and the trail segment between intersections 41A and 42B in Zone B opened January 1, 2026. ATVs are not allowed on snowmobile trails until 10 days after the opening of the snowmobile trails and when the temperature is above 28° F. ATVs will be authorized to utilize snowmobile trails on January 11, 2026. UTVs are not allowed on the Langlade County Snowmobile trail at any time due to the weight and width of the machines.
